Our MEP engineering firm based in Manhattan, NY is actively seeking a senior-level mechanical engineer (MEP-HVAC and Plumbing) for a full-time, permanent position due to continued growth. Candidates holding a PE license are preferred, but those with relevant experience and sitting for PE soon will also be considered. Located in Midtown, just minutes from public transportation for easy commute.

Responsibilities:

• Develop HVAC system layouts, schematics, and detailed designs using AutoCAD and Revit for various building types
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, equipment selection, and system assessments to ensure accuracy and code compliance
• Research and apply relevant codes to design processes
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations according to ASHRAE standards
• Collaborate with team members, clients, architects, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
• Design and implement mechanical systems in new or existing buildings with multidisciplinary teams
• Conduct site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge of LEED and Green Building practices is a plus
• At least 8 years of experience in HVAC & mechanical system design
• Plumbing and Fire Protection experience is a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience mentoring junior engineers is a plus
• US Citizen or Green Card Holder required
• PE license preferred; EIT considered
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
