Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support our Engineering Programs group with a focus on facility systems, pressure protection, B31.3 piping, steam, chill water, and ventilation. The role requires field presence and coordination across multiple projects in a radiological environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited university required.
• 7+ years in commercial, industrial, or radiological environment preferred.
• US Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a responsible Engineer for building systems (mechanical, electrical, I&C, chemical, structural).
• Develop and execute Capital and Maintenance projects and support R&D initiatives.
• Provide engineering solutions with guidance from senior staff and ensure safety and compliance.
• Lead studies, development, testing, and analysis of designs and processes.
• Prepare technical manuals, reports, and procedures.
