Job summary

Endeavour Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and prototype TurboCell and related technologies. You will work on CFD/FEA analyses and generate thorough documentation to support product development in a fast-paced, sustainability-focused company.

The role involves collaboration across Quality, manufacturing, and external vendors, with a hybrid work setup possible in Raleigh, NC. A strong background in mechanical engineering and durable goods development is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 3–5 years in product development of durable goods.
  • Experience with high/mid-volume products, power switchgear, or power electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support product development lifecycle of TurboCell and other durable goods.
  • Generate drawings, BOMs and product data documentation.
  • Perform product analyses, develop testing parameters, and create DFMEA and DVP&R documentation.
  • Upfit facilities for development and oversee prototype fabrication.
  • Maintain clear documentation of activities and results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, manufacturing, and vendors.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support Product Development for Edged Infrastructure and TurboCell. If you’re passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of a company that’s on a journey to transform the world’s infrastructure, this may be the role for you! The Mechanical Engineer is a vital member of the team, with a primary focus on the design, development, testing, CFD/FEA analysis, and prototype fabrication of TurboCell and other technologies.

This role is part of the support team that services the entire our Endeavour ecosystem and contributes to the overall health and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Support the product development life cycle of TurboCell and other durable goods in the power infrastructure space.
  • Generate drawings, BOMs and product data documentation.
  • Perform product analysis, develop testing parameters, and generate DFMEA and DVP&R documentation.
  • Upfit facilities for product development and oversee the fabrication of prototypes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of activities and results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, manufacturing teams, and vendors.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the product development of durable goods.
  • Experience in high and mid-volume products, as well as power switchgear and power electronics.
  • Nice-to-have: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Specific Skills / Abilities
  • Strong understanding of NEC and UL methods and practices (e.g., UL2200, UL9540).
  • Ability to generate product specifications, design documentation, and lead design reviews.
  • Experience with 3D CAD Modeling and drawing creation (SolidWorks preferred)
  • General good communication skills and the ability to articulate designs effectively.
  • Safety mindset aligned with lab and facility protocols.
Working Conditions
  • Combination of standard office and lab environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
  • Remote work model, or a hybrid setup if located in Raleigh, NC.
  • Expected Travel: Up to 25% if located in Raleigh, NC; up to 50% if fully remote.
