Job summary

A fast-growing technology company in San Francisco is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and implementation of mechanical systems in cutting-edge data centers. Responsibilities include overseeing construction reviews, conducting testing and commissioning, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical systems design and construction, preferably in data centers or similar industrial environments.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical models for water and energy consumption.
  • Develop equipment layouts and flow diagrams for central utility plants.
  • Monitor the installation of piping, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Analyze test data and identify areas for optimization.
  • Assist in the management of vendor relationships.
