Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an engineer to design and validate the mechanical systems behind its data-center-scale demand flexibility. You will engineer cooling, support dynamic thermal management, and work with software controls to ensure safe operation.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with HVAC in data centers or industrial plants, model dynamic thermal behavior, and run field tests to reconcile models with measurements. Bonus for liquid cooling, Modelica/TRNSYS, or CFD expertise.

Qualifications

• Engineered mechanical or HVAC systems for data centers or industrial plants.
• Modeled dynamic thermal behavior beyond steady-state.
• Ran field validation campaigns and reconciled models to measurements.

Responsibilities

• Engineer mechanical cooling strategies and thermal storage for flexible, efficient data-center cooling.
• Develop and validate models of thermal inertia, headroom, and plant flex.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to ensure integrated, safe operation.
