Job summary

Sea Box, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and document containerized and shelter-based systems. The role focuses on translating SOWs, contracts, and customer requirements into complete 3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and integration layouts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and creation of fabrication-ready drawings
• Strong understanding of statics and mechanical design principles
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, contracts, and engineering documentation
• Highly self-motivated with ability to manage workload independently and complete assignments on schedule
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving project requirements

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements, contracts, SOWs, specifications, and reference documents.
• Develop 3D models and 2D fabrication/integration drawings using CAD software.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Design layouts and integration solutions for equipment installed within ISO containers and shelters.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, procurement, production, and quality personnel.
• Provide on-the-floor support for fabrication and integration activities, including troubleshooting and resolution of drawing/design issues in real-time.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, serviceability, transportability, and cost effectiveness.
• Manage engineering revisions and maintain configuration control.
