Job Title: Mechanical Applications Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Based on experience (Junior to Senior levels considered)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Mechanical Applications Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will bring a background in mechanical engineering and relevant experience working with heat exchangers, cooling towers, chillers, condensers, or related systems. This role involves technical solution development, customer interaction, and supporting sales with application-specific product recommendations.

We welcome candidates at junior, mid-level, or senior experience levels, and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop application-specific engineering solutions
Analyze system requirements and recommend appropriate cooling or heat exchange technologies
Prepare technical proposals, equipment selections, and performance estimates
Support sales teams by providing technical consultation and solution validation
Interpret customer specifications and prepare submittals and drawings as needed
Assist in product lifecycle support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Participate in project handoff meetings with production and service teams
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards, products, and technologies

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree and experience
Experience working with one or more of the following: cooling towers, heat exchangers, chillers, condensers, HVAC, or industrial thermal systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
