Bala Consulting Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Arlington, VA office. You will collaborate with senior engineers on building systems design, including HVAC load calculations, ductwork sizing, and equipment selection, while supporting energy modeling and project calculations.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of experience, a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, with strong writing and client-facing skills. PE/EIT status is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university.
• 3–6 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
• EIT or PE accreditation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; strong technical writing.

Responsabilités

We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer in our Arlington, VA office who thrives on challenges and wants to grow their career. This role involves working closely with Senior Mechanical Engineers and the Department Manager. Responsibilities will include heating and cooling load calculations, ductwork and piping sizing, selecting HVAC equipment, energy modeling and other engineering calculations.

The basic requirements for this position include:

• 3-6 years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• EIT or PE accreditation a plus
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong technical writing
• Presentation and client interface abilities
• Proficient knowledge of applicable codes
• Detail-oriented and deadline driven
• Ability to take direction and act independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized

Education Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field, from a 4-year accredited college or university.
