V2X is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design of new products and test hardware, and to improve existing solutions at our Indianapolis facility. You will work with an Integrated Product Team on hardware design, prototyping, and qualification testing across proposal, development, and production phases.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of mechanical design experience, proficiency with 3D CAD (CREO preferred), and familiarity with GD&T and data management systems.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design of new products and test hardware, as well as the improvement of existing products. The engineer will utilize their mechanical engineering expertise during the proposal and concept generation phase, product development, production, and qualification testing phases of new product design. The engineer will have the opportunity to design creative solutions that meet product requirements. The engineer shall be proficient with 3D modeling and drafting, and will be hands‑on supporting production, integration, and testing. The engineer will develop solutions which leverage commercial off the shelf (COTS) products paired with custom hardware. The engineer must be a resourceful researcher engaging vendors, manufacturers, and SMEs regarding design decisions. The engineer will take part in design reviews at both part, subsystem and system level including Peer Reviews, DFMAs, PDRs, and CDRs. The engineer will provide leadership on mechanical designs and provide mentorship to junior engineers, as well as work closely with systems, electrical, test, and production engineers.
