  • Working knowledge of SMACNA Technical Manuals and Standards.
  • FE exam is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with government sites, data centers, and building infrastructure.

  • Maintains design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
  • Represent the Company in interactions with customers, contractors, suppliers and project team members.
  • Perform site surveys, calculations, evaluations, equipment selection and system design for proposals and contracts.
  • Develop sustainable designs for high performance HVAC and building systems.
  • Produce construction drawings and specifications compliant with contract requirements and codes.
  • Address mechanical design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning issues.
  • Develop system sequences of operations and compliance matrices.
  • Participate in PITCO testing, system programming, and integration.
  • Develop project scope and discipline coordination.
  • Support project construction, start-up, and commissioning.
  • Evaluate new products and provide recommendations.
  • Travel up to 25% for short-term assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
  • Represent the Company in interactions with the customers, contractors, suppliers and collaborate with other project team members
  • Perform site survey, calculations, evaluations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout for project proposal and contract execution
  • Develop sustainable designs for high performance systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management
  • Produce construction contract drawings and specifications consistent with contract requirements and Regulations, applicable industrial Codes and Standards
  • Address any mechanical design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning issues
  • Develop system sequence of operations, compliance matrices and other project support documentation
  • Participate in Pre-Installation Testing and Checkout (PITCO) processes including system programming, integration testing, and equipment build outs.
  • Develop mechanical project scope, and discipline coordination
  • Participate in and ensure successful project construction, start up and commissioning
  • Participate in new product evaluations and recommendations
  • Ability to travel Travels up to 25% of the time on short-term assignments depending on project requirements
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent engineering degree
  • 2+ years of project-based experience.
  • Strong application knowledge of ASHRAE Handbook and Standards
  • Working knowledge of SMACNA Technical Manuals and Standards
  • Preferred to have passed the fundamentals of Engineering test.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
