Lam Research in Oregon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to contribute to performance and uptime of cutting-edge tools at customer fabs worldwide. You will work on mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept through productization, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You should have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years' experience, be proficient in 3D CAD (CREO, NX, ProE, SolidWorks), and be ready for a graduate eligible, on-site role in Tualatin, OR.

In this role, you will directly contribute to performance and productivity of cutting edge tools installed at our customers fabs all over the world. When parts fail unexpectedly, or expectedly, you will determine why and how and develope and drive solutions to prove the impossible. This role is focused on field performance and tool uptime. It will rely heavily on materials analysis, mechanical performance, and root cause determination.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
