ASML US in Wilton, CT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver complex mechanical modules for lithography systems. Founded in 1984, ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. The mission of the Mechanical Development department is to design and develop the complex mechanics for these machines, which are some of the highest precision products ever produced in the world. This position is based on-site in Wilton, CT, which has both R&D and manufacturing operations. We design and produce multiple sub-system modules that are shipped to our headquarters in Veldhoven, The Netherlands where they are integrated into the full lithography machine.
As a Mechanical Engineer in Wilton, you will specify, design, develop, realize, integrate, and test modules and tools in close collaboration with cross-functional partners and suppliers. You will collaborate with system architects and senior engineers in a multidiscipline project team to develop concepts, perform engineering analysis, build and test prototypes, generate detailed CAD designs and create engineering drawings to deliver within system specifications, cost targets, and project schedules, ensuring timely realization of solutions that contribute to competitive, achievable, and serviceable products.
You take the lead in developing complex parts of modules and deliver technically complex solutions with full ownership, considering industrialization and cross-team impacts. You collaborate across multiple teams, can lead interfaces with suppliers and other disciplines in less-defined environments, and guide a small group of peers through technical execution.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). As a condition of employment, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Additional Responsibilities: There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
