Job summary

Silicis Technologies Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast-paced mechatronics team where mechanical and electrical converge to design and produce the next generation of DURUS systems.

You will own hardware of mechatronic systems and work across disciplines to refine performance under tight constraints. You will develop test setups, review data, and drive prototypes from concept to production, while participating in design reviews and customer demonstrations.

Qualifications

• BS or greater in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.
• CAD skills and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet common industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly fabricate prototypes, models, and fixtures.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Security Clearance and ITAR compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Own all hardware of mechatronic systems related to full DURUS tactical system.
• Understand and define performance requirements given multi-disciplinary engineering constraints.
• Develop and review test setups, procedures, and data to transition products and systems from R&D to production.
• Define and execute prototype builds and tests to verify designs.
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
• Travel to test sites as needed.
