Job summary

Verto People Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist automation engineering team. You will design and develop bespoke automation equipment from concept through to installation and commissioning, producing SolidWorks models and detailed drawings.

The role covers the full project lifecycle in a hands-on environment, requiring collaboration with controls engineers, project managers, and technicians. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, actuators, and tolerancing.
• Familiarity with machinery safety standards (OSHA/ANSI/RIA).

An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist engineering team designing and developing bespoke automation equipment and tooling. This hands-on role covers the full project lifecycle, from concept and CAD design through to assembly, installation, and commissioning.

• Experience with PDM systems, ideally Vault.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, pneumatics, actuators, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics.
• Familiarity with machinery safety standards, including OSHA and ANSI/RIA.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
