Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering and design activities across the project lifecycle.

Mechanical Engineer

Join a growing engineering team supporting natural gas facilities, compressor stations, metering stations, and pipeline projects across the midstream industry. This role offers the opportunity to lead mechanical design efforts from concept through construction while working in a collaborative and flexible environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead mechanical engineering and design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop engineering calculations, specifications, and drawings for natural gas facilities and pipelines.
  • Support compressor station, metering station, and piping system design.
  • Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews.
  • Review vendor proposals, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a strong safety-first culture.
What We’re Looking For
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and PE License.
  • 10 years of engineering experience in oil & gas or midstream natural gas projects.
  • Strong background in compressor stations, metering stations, and pipeline facilities.
  • Experience leading projects from design through execution.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting or EPC/EPCM experience.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, CADWorx, Navisworks, and P&ID development.
  • Experience with both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Strong pipeline engineering and facilities design expertise.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $85.00/hr.
