Neybo is an AI companion device for children aged 4 to 8. Unimatch Lab is an AI-agent-run venture builder with seven products across Future of Work, Longevity, Kids Universe, and Education.
Own the mechanical design of the plastic enclosure and internal frame, and support placement of PCBAs, cables, speaker, microphones, battery, and antennas Design buttons, sensors, and the charging port for children aged 4 to 8, ensuring resistance to jamming and rough use Support acoustic integration so the speaker chamber maintains clean sound through the shell while minimally affecting microphone voice capture Manage the thermal interface and heat dissipation from PCBAs to keep the outer shell safe for children's hands Design early frames and enclosures for 3D printing and CNC to validate weight, mass distribution, and look and feel Support manufacturing early functional prototypes based on the available BOM and constraints Select enclosure materials that are safe for children to touch and chew, impact-resistant, and break into smooth, blunt pieces if cracked Design to ASTM F963 (US) and applicable UAE/GCC toy safety requirements from the start Eliminate pinch points, sharp edges, and choking hazards through upfront design decisions Support tolerance and snap-fit requirements and the injection molding development process run by the contract manufacturer (ODM) Audit and sign off on injection tooling and trial runs with the contract manufacturer Provide material and tooling cost/quality trade-offs for BOM decisions owned by the Hardware Tech Lead Evaluate factories and recommend one based on mechanical capacity, tooling quality, and reference projects Run the on-site NPI cycle - EVT, DVT, PVT, MP - including line audits, first article inspection, pilot run, and production launch Provide corrective feedback for production defects and conduct root cause analysis on the production floor Negotiate schedules, minimum order quantities, and technical trade-offs directly with the factory within the budget and timeline set by the Hardware Tech Lead Run drop, cyclic, thermal, aging, and structural tests; use FEA for critical mechanical parts before design freeze Work with the Hardware Tech Lead to keep the enclosure compatible with antenna, PCBA, and speaker placement Develop test requirements and procedures to verify quality acceptance criteria Work closely with the Hardware Tech Lead on mechanical-electrical fit and technical sign-off, and with Ops on commercial factory terms Make final decisions on mechanical design, material selection, tooling, and technical factory evaluation; make joint decisions with the Hardware Tech Lead on device form factor and the mechanical-electrical interface, and with Ops on commercial factory terms.
7+ Years in mechanical engineering for consumer hardware, including at least one product taken to mass production with continued factory involvement Hands-on factory experience with line audits, first article inspection, and on-site corrective action Strong DFM/DFA, GD&T, and material selection skills for injection-molded plastic enclosures CAD experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent, and FEA for structural and thermal validation Working knowledge of child product safety standards such as ASTM F963 or an equivalent regional standard, applied from the start of design Willingness to travel regularly to the manufacturing site during NPI English B2+ for factory, vendor, and certification communication Будет плюсом: speaker/microphone acoustic design inside a plastic enclosure, early-stage or startup hardware experience, direct factory negotiation on price, MOQ, and schedule, experience with a children's or toy product, Mandarin or another language relevant to the target manufacturing region.
B2B contract Paid in USDT Europe preferred; this is not a strict requirement Regular travel to the manufacturing site during NPI
