Retina Systems is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Seymour, Connecticut. The role involves the development of inspection systems and tooling, requiring expertise in 3D solid modeling and machine design. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical engineering background and be comfortable collaborating with project teams and customers.
Experience with automation systems and hands-on project involvement are preferences. The company offers a competitive salary, health and dental insurance, and various benefits including 401(k) matching and paid time off.
Since 1987, Retina Systems has provided non-contact, automated inspection solutions, packaging systems, application expertise, service and support. Machine design at Retina Systems starts with understanding the functional requirements and deriving specifications.
You will collaborate with project managers, vendors, and customers in a project team to develop concepts, build and test prototypes, generate detailed CAD designs, create engineering drawings, and support system integration and testing.
We are seeking an individual with a strong background in mechanical design and engineering. We would like an individual who can take responsibility of the full development cycle, from initial concept to product realization.
