Job description

Overview:

Our client is an established full-service engineering firm currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team within the New York Market.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated responses.
  2. Calculate heat loss/heat gain requirements for buildings.
  3. Layout of mechanical systems using AutoCAD and/or REVIT software.
  4. Coordinate system design with other trades.
  5. Assist with jobsite meetings as needed.
  6. Identify and resolve conflicts as they arise.
  7. Create and maintain customer relationships.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. EIT, PE, or CEM certifications are a plus.
  2. 3+ years of experience in MEP.
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  5. Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT software.
