Job summary

New Directions Technologies Inc. in Ridgecrest is seeking an engineer to plan and design tools, engines, and mechanical equipment for the RDT&E environment, generating 2D drawings and 3D native models using AutoCAD and CREO.

You will oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, support the life-cycle of TDPs per MIL-STD-31000, ASME Y14.100/Y14.5, GD&T, and export controls, with eligibility for security clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED due to sensitive work.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• 3+ years experience with BA/BS or 6+ years with an Associate.
• Experience in U.S. Military or Government applications in multiple engineering domains.
• Creo Parametric experience and certifications preferred.
• Windchill PLM experience.
• GD&T experience per ASME Y14.5.
• MIL-STD-31000 Technical Data Packages (TDP).

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment in the RDT&E environment.
• Oversees installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in support of RDT&E, weapons programs, and systems.
• Shall Generate detail parts, subassemblies and assemblies contained within a Product Level TDP in accordance with MIL-STD-31000 and ASME Y14.100 Series, to include 2D/3D Native Models with annotation, 2D Drawings derived from 3D Native Models, and 3Dintelligent PDF TDPs using AutoCad and CREO software applications.
• Drawings shall contain complete notes, materials, detailing, assembly, GDT, title block requirements, Distribution Statements and Export Control Statements.
• Support the acquisition life cycle management of TDP during milestone events and System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR).

Qualifications:

• Due to the sensitive nature of the work, U.S Citizenship is REQUIRED.
• MUST be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for duration of employment.
• 3 years or more experience and a BA/BS degree OR 6 Years Experience and Associates Degree.
• Must have experience that is applicable to U.S. Military or U.S. Government applications within one or more of the following areas: System Engineering, Test Engineering, Transition Engineering, Management Analysis, Training Services
• Creo Parametric (certifications strongly preferred)
• Windchill PLM experience
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience in accordance with ASME Y14.5
• ASME Y14.100
• MIL-STD-31000 Technical Data Packages (TDP).
