Qualifications

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Familiar with technical drawing tolerancing.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical design and integration of hardware.
• Work with software team on hardware specifications.
• Support prototype and production module builds.
• Manage supplier relationships and diagnose technical issues.

Skills

Proficient with SolidWorks

Experience with technical drawing tolerancing

Experience with Fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis

Technical ownership of hardware development

Experience with various designs for manufacturing processes

You will...

• Be responsible for mechanical design, assembly, test and integration of sensors, compute, modules, and actuation systems.
• Work closely with the software team to define and convert perception, planning, and control requirements into hardware specifications.
• Design for automotive requirements and environmental challenges.
• Support prototype and production module builds.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners.
• Diagnose and drive resolution of technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields.
• Proficient with SolidWorks.
• Experience with technical drawing tolerancing for various manufacturing operations.
• Experience with fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Experience with PLM tools and document revision control.
• Test and qualify mechanical designs for on‑road vehicle use.
• Experience with various designs for manufacturing processes like sheet metal, injection molding, stamping, die cast, etc.
• Technical ownership of hardware development from prototype to production.
• Present mechanical solutions to cross‑functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Autonomous Vehicle and/or automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Surfacing experience is a plus.
