To apply, please visit our career site at www.nortekair.com/careers.Other Benefits: \*Making NexGen Products - Cooling the World’s Ever Expanding Data Centers \*Airconditioned work environment\*Benefits start day one \*401K match \*First year, 4 weeks’ vacation (accrued)***Position Responsibilities:**** Works with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to develop product requirements based on customer needs.* Analyzes systems using a variety of engineering tools including, but not limited to, FEA, analytical formulas, benchmark designs, etc.* Run through sizing and optimization exercises for pumps, fans, coil, valves, and flow control devices* Familiar with piping layouts, design, and material selection, including, but not limited to, PVC, Stainless Steel, Copper, HDPE, etc.* Uses DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA tools to improve the quality and reliability of designs.* Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs)* Assures that full and accurate documentation is produced for the designs that are moving into commercialization.* Works with operations to design solutions that are integrated into the current manufacturing capabilities.* Develops advanced designs in conjunction with operations to produce high quality designs that are value based.* Works with sales and service to improve current designs and incorporates future needs into the existing platform.* Works as an example and mentor to more junior mechanical engineers.* Other duties as assigned by the manager.***Position Qualifications:******Requirements:**** BSME from an accredited university, or applicable engineering work experience.* 3-5 years of engineering work experience, HVAC preferred.* CFD, computational fluid dynamics experience preferred.* Self-starter and must be able to work cross-functionally.* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.***Preferred:**** P.E certification a plus.* MSME is a plus.* SolidWorks, DraftSight, AutoCAD, Revit skills.
