Job summary

Radyne Corporation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical automation and project management in Milwaukee, WI.

The role focuses on designing material handling systems, tooling, and components, while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions. Proficiency in SolidWorks is required, with additional skills in AutoCAD and Adept PDM considered a Plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on mechanical.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of materials, strength of materials, screws, threads, fit and fabrication techniques.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Experience with machining, fabrication, welding, assembly a plus.
• Robotics experience a plus.
• Experience with Adept PDM and AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical material handling systems, tooling and components.
• Collaborate with Radyne Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.
• Generate and update technical drawings with tolerances and design conventions.
• Detail and check part drawings and create/maintain BOMs.
• Assist in assembly and troubleshooting of systems as needed.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical automation and project management.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Designing mechanical material handling systems, tooling and components.
• Experience with machine bases, pneumatics, sensors, actuators, bearings, pumps, and water-systems.
• Proven ability to work with a team of engineers and independently on various projects.
• Knowledge of production techniques including machining, fabricating, welding, assembly, and 3D printing.
• Ability to generate and update technical drawings using standard design conventions, tolerance, and technical drawing standards as required.
• Collaborate with Radyne Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.
• Strong independent judgment required.
• Manage time to meet budget requirement.
• Detail and check part drawings and create/maintain BOMs.
• Assist in the assembly and troubleshooting of systems if needed.
• Work under the guidance of the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager.

Job Requirements:

BS in Engineering - emphasis on mechanical.

Proficiency in Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling.

Knowledge of screws, threads, materials, strength of materials, correct fit, and a wide knowledge of various fabrication techniques.

Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.

Knowledge of production techniques including machining, fabricating, welding, assembly a plus.

Robotics experience a plus.

Experience with Adept PDM and AutoCAD a plus.
