Vac-Con in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide production support and BOM creation for various products built in Milwaukee. The role involves generating drawings from sketches, creating accurate 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, and managing BOMs for customer orders.

You will support ECO processing using Autodesk Vault Professional, devise new design solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve products and solve engineering challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
  • Ability to read Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with other engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.
  • Preparation of accurate 3D solid models in Autodesk Inventor. Preparation of Bill of Materials for customer orders.
  • Support on Processing Engineering Change Order (ECO) using Autodesk Vault Professional.
  • Devise new design solutions to problems encountered.
  • Assist on-going Product Improvement team with daily designs per customer.
  • Assist Product Development Team with new designs concepts to assist build new products.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems.
  • Review Issue management system and follow up on related Engineering Change orders.
  • Work and communicate with other departments.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.

Mechanical Engineer

VAC-CON is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide production support and BOM creation for Various products built in Milwaukee.

Your Responsibility
  • Work directly with other engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.
  • Preparation of accurate 3D solid models in Autodesk Inventor. Preparation of Bill of Materials for customer orders.
  • Support on Processing Engineering Change Order (ECO) using Autodesk Vault Professional.
  • Devise new design solutions to problems encountered.
  • Assist On-Going Product Improvement team with Daily designs per Customer.
  • Assist Product Development Team with New designs concepts needed to assist build new product.

  • This individual will be trained in the Vac-Con ECO system to make drawing changes while not assisting Production, this will be a secondary job function.
  • Creation of BOM for Vec-Loader products and develop modular BOM creation procedures.

This position Will report to Engineering Manager. This position will bridge the gap between engineering and production.

Required Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to read Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic schematics.
