We are building something incredible at our brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, and we need a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer to help lead the charge. This position is located in Starkville, MS, and we offer a comprehensive relocation package to help you make the move. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day. We are looking for a true "boots on the ground" leader who thrives in a heavy industrial environment and loves working directly with the maintenance team to solve complex problems.

You will be the technical backbone for our mechanics, bridging the gap between daily repairs and long‑term reliability improvements. Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource and mentor for a team of eight mechanics on the manufacturing floor.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve recurring mechanical issues to drive long‑term equipment reliability.
• Manage and execute mechanical capital projects ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.
• Handle critical administrative tasks, including ordering parts, managing warehouse inventory, and developing Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineering and maintenance leadership, to optimize production alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on mechanical engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience providing direction, support, or mentorship to mechanics or contractors.
• A strong track record of managing capital projects and taking true ownership of process improvements.
• Familiarity with large‑scale industrial equipment such as high‑horsepower motors, hydraulics, piping, and bearings.

This position is located in Starkville, Mississippi, home of Mississippi State University and just an hour from the University of Alabama.
