Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide technical application support for Custom Air Units and assist in project management across cross-functional teams. You will design, analyze, and evaluate air handling systems, collaborate with sales and engineering, and help develop cost-efficient solutions.

Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree with AutoCAD or Inventor experience and are willing to relocate or commute to key sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 1–4 years experience; recent grads considered.
• Design experience with AutoCAD or Inventor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial, competitive, and technical application support to field sales for Custom Air Units.
• Resolve AHU project support requests with emphasis on Basis of Design.
• Provide application training and project management on air handling systems.
• Support customer visits and factory tours.
• Participate in testing AHU selection and pricing software.
• Collaborate with field sales, manufacturing, engineering, and customer service to resolve order issues.
• Develop cost-effective solutions for unique Air Handling Unit applications.
• Assist Airside Technical Service with field application issues.
• Develop technical documents supporting field sales.
• Work with marketing to develop selection and pricing software requirements.
• Analyze, design, and research air handling products.
• Review engineering rules and documents.
• Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives.
• Provide technical direction to engineers, drafters, and technicians.
• Prepare, check, and coordinate documentation releases for Custom Air Handling products.
• Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications.
• Drive continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-4 years of experience; minimal professional experience is considered for recent graduates
• Design experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor
• Must be commuting distance to York, PA or Hattiesburg, MS, or able to relocate
