Job summary

Molex in Lisle, IL seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of fiber optic interconnect solutions, advancing high‑speed, high‑density optical connectivity for data centers and communications.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality and product management to create scalable optical components and systems, perform simulations and testing, and drive continuous improvement in design and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Mechanical design experience in new product development.
• Sound experience with parametric solid modeling (NX, Creo, SolidWorks).
• Design experience with multiple manufacturing techniques (injection molding, insert molding, sheet‑metal forming, machining, extrusion).
• Desire to learn, be challenged and interact in a cross‑functional team environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Within a daily commutable distance to Lisle, IL and will not require relocation assistance.

Compensation

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
