Position Description
You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMAL)/Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Performance Engineer in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, Systems Engineering (SE) & Aircraft Launch Readiness Equipment(ALRE) Group, ALRE Department, Ford Class Launch & Recovery Division (BL11200) of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE
Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide technical expertise in establishing MK 15 arresting gear test plans and programs which will achieve the objective of operational compatibility with the aircraft.
  • You will use computerized data analysis techniques and transform raw test data into performance charts/equations.
  • You will act as technical advisor to aircraft manufacturing contractors concerning all phases of recovering aircraft
