Job summary

manpowe is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 12+ month contract supporting aircraft interior and structural modifications. Lake Charles, LA (also Dallas, TX) options, competitive hourly pay of $50–$56.

You will design, analyze, and document engineering packages for VIP/VVIP interiors, coordinating with certification and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 7+ years aerospace experience, and proficiency with CATIA/SolidWorks/AutoCAD or NX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or related industries.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, or equivalent.
• Experience creating engineering drawings and design packages.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and project coordination.

Our client, a leading aerospace engineering and aircraft completions organization, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Aircraft Completions, Modifications, and VIP/VVIP Interior Projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

• Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and aviation certification requirements.
• Experience with aircraft interiors, cabin systems, monuments, or structural modifications.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, EIT certification, or experience with PLM systems is a plus.
