Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer at MapleCraft Engineers, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and developing mechanical systems and components for large-scale engineering projects. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical design principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes while ensuring project efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging advanced simulation tools, and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical System Design & Development:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, and lifecycle assessments to ensure project viability.
- Optimize designs for cost sustainability.
- Engineering Analysis & Simulation:
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Perform structural analysis, fluid dynamics simulations, and thermal analysis to optimize performance.
- Apply Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for design validation.
- Manufacturing & Materials Optimization:
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for mechanical components.
- Develop and optimize fabrication and assembly processes for precision engineering solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.
- Project Management & Collaboration:
- Work closely with civil and structural engineers to integrate mechanical solutions into large-scale projects.
- Manage technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies.
- Implement best practices for sustainable and energy-efficient designs.
- Participate in R&D initiatives to drive innovation in mechanical engineering applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Structural Engineering preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience conducting feasibility studies, OEE analysis, and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO) and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with CFD modeling, AI/ML integration, and sensor-based IoT systems.
- Background in construction, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
- Knowledge of sustainable design and green energy solutions.
