Job summary

Kranze Technology Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform structural and thermal analysis, validate designs, and support rugged electromechanical components for demanding environments. This full-time role is based at our Des Plaines, IL facility and requires collaboration with Government engineers.

Responsibilities include ANSYS structural and ICEPAK thermal analyses, GD&T drawings, and ASME-compliant documentation. Travel up to 25% and eligibility for U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with two or more years of work experience; or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Hands on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Previous experience with military electromechanical design and aircraft mechanical hardware integration preferred.
  • Proficient with PTC CREO (preferred) or equivalent 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Proficiency with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel (< 25%)
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Job description

KTS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform structural and thermal analysis, validate mechanical designs, and support the design and build of rugged electromechanical components used in demanding environments. This is a full-time position at the KTS facility in Des Plaines, IL.
