Job summary

AAA Engineering, Ltd. seeks a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with experience collaborating on public agency projects and transit-oriented designs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows is required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • EIT or PE licensure is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical system designs, including HVAC and plumbing, for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
  • Create and manage detailed Revit/BIM models, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to project standards.
  • Produce construction drawings, specifications, and calculations that meet applicable codes and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and maintain overall project quality.
  • Assist in performing load calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing.
  • Support the integration of plumbing and, when applicable, electrical design components into coordinated building systems.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase support as needed.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience working with public agencies. Candidates with additional background in transit and transportation will be highly preferred. This role involves supporting multi-disciplinary design projects, producing high-quality construction documents, and collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project managers.
