Job summary

You will develop mechanical system designs (HVAC and plumbing), prepare construction drawings, and manage detailed Revit/BIM models across multi-disciplinary teams. The role requires 5–10+ years in mechanical engineering, strong knowledge of codes and standards, and EIT or PE licensure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system designs, including HVAC and plumbing, for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
• Create and manage detailed Revit/BIM models, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to project standards.
• Produce construction drawings, specifications, and calculations that meet applicable codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and maintain overall project quality.
• Assist in performing load calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing.
• Support the integration of plumbing and, when applicable, electrical design components into coordinated building systems.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction-phase support as needed.

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience working with public agencies. Candidates with additional background in transit and transportation will be highly preferred.
