Job summary

Allied Resources is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide in-house engineering expertise across Plumbing, HVAC, and HVAC Control Systems for facilities nationwide. You will develop standards, improve energy efficiency, guide commissioning, and ensure design consistency across projects.

The role requires 7–10 years in mechanical design, strong knowledge of building codes, and excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in mechanical system design with exposure to multiple HVAC system types.
• Experience with commissioning processes and energy efficiency standards.
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
• Ability to conduct on-site investigations, including roof and ceiling access.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update standards for plumbing and HVAC system design for consistency across facilities.
• Partner with external design consultants to align with design standards and goals.
• Conduct quality control reviews of design documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with commissioning consultants and develop a comprehensive commissioning program for mechanical systems.
• Perform field investigations and evaluations of existing systems to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Collaborate with internal Architecture, Construction, Real Estate & Development, and Facility Operations teams for integrated engineering solutions.
• Create and analyze energy models to propose energy-saving measures and support sustainability goals.
• Assist procurement and installation of mechanical equipment, ensuring high-quality implementation.
• Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals review, and documenting field observations.
