Job summary

Snelling is seeking a mechanical engineer to design, develop, build, and test mechanical and thermal devices such as tools, engines, machines, and HVAC systems. You will use CAD, engineering analysis, and prototyping to ensure performance, safety, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate on design and development, break down requirements into sub-systems, conduct testing and analysis, and contribute to project management across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create and refine mechanical designs for parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software; develop prototypes and test them for performance, durability, and manufacturability
• Parts Engineering: Break down customer or system requirements into sub-system and part-level specifications; define verification criteria and plans for each component
• Testing & Analysis: Conduct experiments, failure analysis, and performance testing to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements
• Project Management: Oversee all phases of projects, from concept to completion and delivery
