Job summary

Omya is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical plant equipment in our Wathena, KS facility. You will support safe, efficient production and minimize downtime.

In this hands-on role, you will read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings, perform preventive maintenance, rebuilds, and retrofits, and assist with process instrumentation and drives. We value experience with motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and strong documentation skills;

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process controls.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.
• Solid computer skills and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and optimize production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
