Job summary

Ceresist, Inc. is seeking a mechanically oriented designer to lead the design and modeling for new projects, and to provide technical guidance on existing initiatives.

The role entails analyzing drawings for customer proposals, creating new drawings to meet customer specifications, and preparing estimates for time, materials, and labor. Collaboration on BOMs, purchasing, and project scheduling will be required.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate degree or technical certificate in drafting/mechanical design or related field.
• Understanding of mechanical processes, tolerances, IDs etc.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Create new drawings/designs based upon pre-existing products or based upon Customer requests/specifications and/or engineering specifications.

Minimum requirements

• 2-year associate degree or technical certificate in drafting/mechanical design or directly related field.
• Understanding of mechanical processes, tolerances, IDs etc.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Abilities required

• Proficiency in SolidWorks 2010 or higher
• Part creation, assembly, detail drawings, bill of materials and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Strong MS Office skills
• Extensive knowledge of materials with a strong emphasis on ceramic and metal properties
• Must be detail oriented.
• Travel required
