Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Springfield, MO, seeks a Mechanical Drafter for a local machine shop. Design plans with CAD software and create job layouts for waterjet and laser cutting, working from rough sketches and engineer specifications to help design products with fabrication techniques.

Requires experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing, CAD proficiency (Inventor preferred) and ability to read complex drawings. AutoCAD experience is required.

Express Employment Professionals has an opening for a Mechanical Drafter for a local machine shop that is rapidly growing.

Duties:

• Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (Autodesk) software.
• Creating jobs and part layouts for waterjet and laser cutting.
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and individuals.
• Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques.
• Add details to shop drawings for fabricators to fallow.
• Create a bill of material per job specification.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for production.
• Quoting individual parts to complicated assemblies out of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Required Skills:

• Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing
• Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor preferred)
• Strong understanding of materials, labor, and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings
• Detail-oriented

Must have experience with AutoCAD

Shift: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM

Pay: $20.00/hr
