Retroflex, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Detailer/Designer to prepare drawings for mechanical devices and machines used in flexographic printing and gravure coating.

The role requires creating 3D models, performing calculations, and ensuring precise layouts with proper tolerances and labeling. The candidate should have a Certificate or Associate Degree in Mechanical Design and at least two years of mechanical design experience, preferably in printing equipment.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Associate Degree in Mechanical Design.
• Minimum of two years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in printing and coating.
• Experience in design, repair, and analysis of printing equipment is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Create 3D models of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and perform calculations as needed.
• Exercise critical judgement to ensure designs meet safety, cost, compliance and fabrication needs.
• Zero-line dimensions on layouts; clearly label all part sizes, ranges and overlaps.
• Identify critical locating surfaces and balloon all manufacture parts on assemblies.
• Show motions and potential interferences, and document design intent clearly.
• Coordinate with electrical and fluid power engineers to avoid schedule delays.
• Enter bills of materials electronically and ensure correct subassembly association.
• Modify drawings by analyzing, resolving and incorporating changes.
• Travel to customer facilities for meetings or reviews when required.
• Keep Project Leader informed weekly of progress and participate in meetings.
