Job summary

KZFDesign in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Designer to support the design of building mechanical systems, focusing on HVAC for design, bidding, permitting and construction phases. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of building mechanical systems and be eager to contribute from conceptual development through final design and owner acceptance.

Qualifications

• Experience producing mechanical design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm.
• Proficiency in REVIT MEP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with building mechanical system design, including HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with BIM standards (a plus).
• LEED certification (a plus).
• Good written and oral communications in English.

Responsibilities

• Support design of mechanical systems for buildings with emphasis on HVAC during design, bidding, permitting and construction phases.
• Collaborate with Director of Mechanical Engineering, senior engineers and project managers to meet goals.
• Assist with development of project schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical, project and client management support.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate electrical work.

PositionOverview

We are seeking an Entry-LevelMechanicalDesigner to join our dynamic, multi-disciplined, full-service A/E firm. This role will support the design of mechanical systems for buildings, with a focus on HVAC systems for design, bidding, permitting, and construction phases.

Theidealcandidatewillhaveafoundationalunderstandingofbuildingmechanicalsystemsandbeeagertocontributefromconceptualdevelopmentthroughfinaldesignandowneracceptance.Thispositionofferstheopportunitytocollaboratecloselywitharchitects,clients,andotherengineeringdisciplinesonavarietyofprojects.
