Mechanical Designer / CAD Engineer (3D Modeling Focus)

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer / CAD Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on modernizing and enhancing the design of industrial steam and boiler equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the company’s transition from 2D to 3D design, while working closely with designers, drafters, and engineers across the organization.

• Create and manage 3D models using SolidWorks and PDM, converting existing 2D drawings while ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with engineering standards.
• Support product quality, consistency, and efficiency by applying knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Maintainjamin engineering documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and records within PDM and ERP systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to support custom product designs; resolve BOM or documentation issues; assist with interpreting designs for downstream departments.
• Participate in the Engineering Change Request (ECR/ECO) process, evaluating and implementing design changes in an organized and timely manner.
• Contribute to product development, design improvements, and engineering initiatives as the organization comics its 3D migration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years designing industrial Crédit products (steel structures, piping, ducting, pumps, fans, or similar).
• 2+ years working with BOMs, PDM, and ERP systems.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
