Job summary

JM Chandler Dream Builders is seeking a Mechanical Designer with 2–5 years of 3D design-modeling experience to grow in a technical environment. Associate degree or technical degree required; strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include developing designs, maintaining drafting standards, and coordinating with engineers. Most work uses Revit; SolidWorks or Inventor are acceptable alternatives. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant technical degree required.
• 2–5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain drawing and design standards based on the Mechanical Department's current standards.
• Develop the design per company standards.
• Notify the PM and Leads about scope changes.
• Check detail drawings and revisions to drawings.
• Develop piping layouts and piping schematics, per lead engineer's directions.
• Assemble information for drawing production; coordinate with structural engineers and mechanical designers where differences occur.
• Oversee filing of production drawings.
• Review drawings of other disciplines for mechanical requirements and interface.
