Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or Creo. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications. Exclude classifications in which incumbents predominantly perform drafting assignments.Mechanical CAD Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Designer your responsibilities will be to model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Pro/E / Creo 10.0, and create/update parametric drawings in conformance with Northrop Grumman, Industry and DEVCOM Armaments Center 3D modeling standards. You will work with other engineers, technicians, program managers and administrative personnel to accomplish assigned tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accept work direction from other drafters/designers, engineers and manager on assigned project.
• Create/update parametric drawings in conformance with Northrop Grumman, Industry and DEVCOM Armaments Center 3D modeling standards.
• Review work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Required Skills (level 3):

• Technical or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Drafting/Design.
• Four years minimum Pro/E / Creo experience with a minimum of 1 year utilizing Pro/E / Creo 10.0
• Ability to model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Pro/E / Creo 10.0
• Ability to create/update parametric drawings in conformance with Northrop Grumman, Industry and DEVCOM Armaments Center 3D modeling standards.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $67,300.00 - $112,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,000.00 - $133,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
