Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Mechanical Designer (Creo) to join our Valley Green, PA team. You will create high-speed connector CAD models, maintain drawings, and participate in design reviews with engineers across disciplines.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering and 3–4 years of Creo Parametric experience, with proficiency in advanced features, GD&T, and Windchill knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Engineering, CAD, or related field.
• 3–4 years Creo Parametric experience with Release 4–8.
• Strong Creo modeling/assembly skills; GD&T proficiency.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ASME drafting standards.
• Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink and Windows 10/MS Office is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models for high-speed connector products per input.
• Maintain internal and customer drawings of components/assemblies.
• Participate in design reviews with Engineering teams.

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer (Creo) to join our team. The position will be located in Valley Green, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with product development engineers to create high speed connector product CAD models as per their input and feedback
• Employ best modeling practices and advanced feature techniques to capture design intent, and to facilitate design changes and data reuse (expanding design concepts into product families and derivatives)
• Create and maintain internal and customer CAD drawings of components and assemblies
• Participate in design reviews, interface with Development, Mechanical and Signal Integrity, and Process Engineers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering, CAD, or a related field
• 3-4 years Creo Parametric experience. Proficiency in Creo Parametric Release 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8
• High level of Creo Parametric modeling and assembly design skills, specifically:
  • Advanced part and assembly features
  • Reference geometry and shared data
  • Feature patterns and copies
  • Surfacing, quilt operations
  • Top-down design techniques
  • Family tables
  • Detailing, dimensional and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiarity with industry standard drafting and detailing practices (ANSI, ASME)
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies (stamping, molding, plating) a plus
• Knowledge of Windchill PDMLink 11 or 12 a plus
• Knowledge of Windows 10 operating system and standard MS Office applications
• Demonstrated attention to detail, thoroughness in work, and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, with minimum supervision
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
