Actalent in MOSINEE, WI seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design conveyors and aggregate equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in 2D and 3D. You will join a small, on-site design team in a newly built facility and help shape the expansion of design tools and processes.

Responsibilities include creating detailed models, producing fabrication drawings, and participating in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Essential Skills

• Experience using AutoCAD for 2D design work.


• Ability to translate design requirements into accurate models and drawings.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, manufacturable designs.


• Capability to perform a hands-on SolidWorks design test, including forming a part in SolidWorks during the interview process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in designing conveyors is a plus but not required.


• Experience with aggregate equipment or similar heavy industrial equipment design is beneficial.


• Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative design team.

Work Environment

You will work on-site in a newly constructed facility as part of a small, collaborative design team consisting of three designers and a design manager. The environment emphasizes growth and investment in engineering tools, including the addition of new SolidWorks seats as the team expands. You will primarily use SolidWorks for 3D modeling and solid modeling, along with AutoCAD for 2D design work. The setting is professional and focused on delivering high-quality conveyor and aggregate equipment, with direct, in-person collaboration and an on-site interview process that includes a practical SolidWorks test.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOSINEE, WI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
