Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical designs and calculations under the direct supervision of an Engineer or Team Lead.
• Assist in the preparation of mechanical designs for power and low‑voltage products.
• Interact regularly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Industrial Engineering staff.
• Present technical information during design meetings or reviews.
• Create and update 2D prints and 3D models for piece parts and components.
• Create and update 3D layouts of top‑level and sub‑level assemblies.
• Prepare Bills of Materials and Change Notices to release components and assemblies.
• Support the creation of technical manuals for operation and maintenance of related products.
• Self‑check work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with production support as needed.
• Work with suppliers to integrate various components into higher‑level system designs.
• Support service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of product design experience.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo).
• Experience in sheet metal or heavy fabrication design.
• Experience in mechanical design and drafting.
• Experience with Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes.
• Preferred: 5 years of product design experience.
• Preferred: Experience in large 3D assemblies.
• Preferred: Experience in casting, machining, roto‑molded components, or fiber‑reinforced plastic components.
• Preferred: Experience in electrical components or equipment.

Travel

5‑25% travel required.

Work Schedule & Location

Hours: 7AM – 5PM, Monday‑Friday. Work is performed onsite at the Menasha, WI office.
