Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer to support mechanical and plumbing engineering design operations. You will produce and update detailed AutoCAD drawings for commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, collaborating with the engineering team.

Experience with drafting standards and interpreting sketches is essential; Revit is a plus. This is a contract-to-hire role with long-term growth, on-site, Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Fridays noon).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience (mechanical, MEP, or similar field).
• Ability to create and modify HVAC and plumbing drawings from engineer redlines or sketches.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and construction documentation.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization and communication skills.
• Revit experience or willingness to learn is a plus.
• Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred but not required.

I have a client located in Greenville, South Carolina that is looking to bring on a Mechanical CAD Designerto support their mechanical and plumbing engineering design operations.

This person will work directly with the engineering team to produce and update detailed AutoCAD drawings for commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering sketches and convert them into precise construction documents. Experience with Revit is a plus but not required.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the chance to grow long-term within the company. Once hired on, employees receive 100% employer-paid health insurance, 401(k) with company match, bonus eligibility, and half-day Fridays.

Location: Greenville, SC (on-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Fridays end at noon)
