Job summary

Walrath Recruiting, Inc. is recruiting a Mechanical Designer for a full-time, permanent role.

You will prepare shop drawings for HVAC ductwork and mechanical piping, and develop layout, fabrication, spool, and installation drawings from contract documents and site conditions. The position requires coordinating with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams, resolving drawing conflicts, incorporating field measurements and revisions, and maintaining complete

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience in drafting, mechanical design, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience preparing HVAC ductwork and/or mechanical piping shop drawings preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or similar mechanical detailing software.
• Working knowledge of HVAC ductwork, mechanical piping systems, fittings, equipment connections, supports, elevations, and construction standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
