Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC in San Diego seeks a Mechanical Designer, Engineer & Manager (MEP) to lead mechanical engineering projects from concept to construction. You will coordinate with clients and perform site visits to ensure design intent aligns with project goals.

The role focuses on designing HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, and control systems, performing heating/cooling calculations, and managing RFIs, submittals, and construction administration while ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with MEP design workflows and codes.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, and control systems.
• Perform heating, cooling, ventilation, and exhaust calculations.
• Attend client meetings and job-site walks.
• Handle RFIs, submittal reviews, and construction administration.
• Prepare Basis of Design and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with building, mechanical, energy, NFPA, and ADA codes.
