We are looking for Mechanical Design interns who want responsibility and ownership over meaningful challenges that can impact the company immediately and into the future. We seek to unleash these inquisitive and problem‑solving interns on individual projects and as members of our teams paired with guidance and mentorship from our experienced engineers. We know our team members do their best work when they are working on projects that excite them, so we try to match our interns to projects related to their interests.
At Maxentric, our teams work on a variety of cross‑discipline R&D projects born out of the ideas of our engineers. Our current projects focus on the networking, wireless communication, health, and artificial intelligence fields and range from early exploratory efforts to commercial product transitions. The supporting teams of electrical and software engineers, as well as university research partners, provide constant exposure to new ideas and inspiration and a set of helpful experts as we work to develop the future. This position will be based out of Maxentric’s California office in downtown La Jolla or our New Jersey location in Fort Lee, just outside of Manhattan, NYC.
Overall, we are looking for energetic candidates who are innovative, curiosity‑driven, willing to explore new ideas, and are strong team players with excellent communication skills.
This would be a temporary position for the Summer of 2026.
