Job summary

Apex Bridge Talent Group is seeking a CFD Engineer for Thermal Systems/Turbomachinery in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on developing CFD models for compressors, turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers, with hands-on work in Fluent, STAR-CCM+, CFX, or OpenFOAM.

You will perform simulations, monitor solutions, and support design optimization in collaboration with design, FEA, and testing engineers during product development.

Qualifications

• Develop CFD models for compressors, turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, ducts.
• Perform CFD simulations for internal and external fluid flow applications.
• Support design optimization through CFD-based recommendations.
• Work closely with design, FEA, and testing engineers during product development.
• Hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, CFX, or OpenFOAM.
• Bachelor / Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial or Aerospace Engineering.

• Develop CFD models for compressors, turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, ducts, and Conduct mesh generation, model setup, solution monitoring, and post-processing.
• Perform CFD simulations for internal and external fluid flow applications.
• Support design optimization through CFD-based recommendations.
• Work closely with design, FEA, and testing engineers during product development.
