We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong focus on tooling design and a passion for developing manufacturing focused solutions that enable high volume production. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Platform Design, Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners, and cross functional teams to design and develop tooling, test fixtures, and jigs that support scalable, high throughput manufacturing environments.
You’ll join a highly collaborative team spanning Hardware Engineering, Platform Design, Reliability Engineering, and global CM partners. This role is deeply integrated with early stage product development, ensuring manufacturability and production success at scale. Precision, innovation, and proactive design collaboration are core to how we operate.
You will lead the end to end design, development, and validation of custom tooling and fixtures that support New Product Introduction (NPI) and high volume electronics manufacturing. This role emphasizes engineering innovation and early design influence—not factory floor production support. You will own the mechanical design process from concept development through CAD modeling, documentation, vendor engagement, and pilot build support.
The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $110,000 to $175,000. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The salary range provided reflects base pay only. As described above, this position may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. US‑based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
